What You Need to Know Before the NYCC Onsale

Fan Verification accounts are strongly recommended. The account provides access to the NYCC 2023 Fan Ver presale and a few other pretty neat perks.

Fan Verification is open and will close on November 18 at 5:00 PM ET. Create your account today!

Nope! You will receive an email from ShowClix allowing you to make any updates to your Fan Ver account and confirm you want to carry it over to 2023. Once your account is rolled over to 2023 you'll be eligible to buy NYCC 2023 tickets during the presale or general onsale. If you didn't receive that email or you ignored it, your account will still roll over.

The only fans who do not need to be Fan Verified are kids who will be ages 6-12 at the time of NYCC 2023 and will be using an adult ticket or a Sunday Kids ticket. Make sure in your own Fan Verification account that you check YES when asked if you're purchasing for a kid ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under will be admitted for free to NYCC and no ticket is required.

Please email our customer service team at [email protected] and they will assist you!

No, it does not guarantee NYCC tickets or that you will get the NYCC ticket type that you want.

Nah. You can only fill out one Fan Verification account per email address and each fan can only have one account. Anyone who is identified as having multiple Fan Verification accounts or as a known reseller will have their Fan Verification voided.

No problem! You will be able to purchase and assign tickets for anyone regardless if they have a Fan Ver account or not. Your friend will have to create a Fan Ver account before accepting the tickets you purchased and assigned to them.

PRO TIP: to make things easier, make sure your friend Fan Verifies with the email you used to assign them a ticket.

How does Fan Verification work and how do I create a profile to buy tickets?

The process is super simple! Follow these steps and you’ll be on your way.

Step 1: Create your profile

By creating a Fan Verification profile, you are telling us that you want to buy NYCC tickets (I mean, who doesn’t?) You’ll want to fill out the application accurately, so take your time and proofread to make sure there are no typos in your email address. You can create a profile right now! Want to participate in the General Onsale on Wednesday, June 21 at 12:00 PM ET? Make sure to create your profile by Sunday, June 18 at 11:59 PM ET then! At that time, Fan Verification applications will close until after the General Onsale slows down.

Two Important Notes:

  • If you’re not sure yet if you’re purchasing NYCC adult tickets for kids ages 6-12, but you might be, we highly suggest marking that you ARE purchasing for kids and the amount you might be purchasing for. If you click NO to this step, you will not be able to buy an adult ticket for a kid at any time while NYCC badges are on sale.
  • To be able to purchase tickets during the General Onsale on June 21, you’ll need to create your profile by Sunday, June 18 at 11:59 PM ET. Applications will close at the time, and re-open after the General Onsale.

Step 2: Wait for your confirmation email

You’ll get an email letting you know we received your application and that you are all set for the General Onsale. Keep in mind, this is now the email address you’ll be using to log in to your Fan Ver Hub, as well as the email address you’ll use to buy tickets during the General Onsale. If you try to use another email address, you’ll find no profile, so make sure you’re using the right one (and yes, we see this in our Customer Service inbox enough that it’s worth a nice reminder).

Please note: if you’re trying to sign up with multiple email addresses, it will flag it in our system and your profiles will be removed. You only need one.

Step 3: Get ready for the General Onsale!

Now that you have your profile set before the June 18 deadline, you will be receiving an email with your unique presale link on Monday, June 19 to your Fan Verification email address. SAVE THIS EMAIL. The unique link you are sent is the ONLY link you can use to buy tickets (remember, this is to prove you are you and you are not an evil bot trying to take over NYCC). If you are copying and pasting the URL into your web browser, MAKE SURE YOU COPY THE ENTIRE LINK. Missing just one character can make the link break, so triple check you’re copying the whole URL.

WHAT IF I DELETED THE EMAIL OR DIDN’T RECEIVE IT?

You can login to the Fan Verification Hub with the email address and password you set up. If you didn’t set up your password yet, use the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link and enter in the email address connected to your Fan Verification profile. Keep in mind: you MUST login to your profile before 10:00 AM ET to grab your link. Once 10:00 AM hits, the Fan Ver Hub will close during the General Onsale.

Step 4: It’s the day of the General Onsale

Hooray! We’ve made it to Wednesday, June 21. The General Onsale will begin at 12:00 PM ET. Make sure you have the following items ready to go before you the virtual queue opens:

  • Your unique link
  • The correct Fan Verification email address
  • Your friends and family member’s email addresses that you might be purchasing tickets for
  • Your credit card
  • Snacks and coffee (the virtual queue can be long)
  • And a nice mellow playlist to keep you cool, calm, and collected while you wait for your turn to buy tickets

Are you new here?

Do you have a Fan Verification profile already?

If you already have a Fan Verification profile, you don't need to create a new one. Looking to login to your Fan Verification hub? We got you! Sign in here.

Do you need to create a Fan Verification profile?

You might’ve been told by your friends (or by me) to create a Fan Verification profile, but you’re not sure what to do. Let’s start with the basics; you might need a Fan Verification profile for two different reasons. If you’re answering yes to either of the questions below, read the paragraph underneath it to help you understand your next steps:

DID SOMEONE BUY YOU A TICKET AND ASSIGN IT TO YOU?

If someone bought you a ticket to NYCC during any of the presales and you are not Fan Verified, you'll create a profile before accepting the tickets they assigned to you. See a step-by-step walkthrough of how to do this here. If you don’t accept the ticket, your ticket will just sit in limbo and you'll be able to attend the event, but you won't be able to do any of the extra cool stuff we got goin' on.

DO YOU WANT TO CREATE YOUR PROFILE SO YOU CAN BUY TICKETS?

Fan Verification opens Monday, June 12, and closes on Sunday, June 18 at 11:59 PM ET to ensure everyone who creates their profile gets a unique link to participate in the General Onsale. If you miss that window, Fan Verification will open back up after the General Onsale, but we cannot guarantee that specific ticket types won’t be sold out, so we suggest getting signed up ASAP.

Assigning Tickets

During the Fan Ver Presale and the General Onsale for NYCC, you'll be required to assign each individual ticket during checkout. You will not be able to complete your purchase until all your tickets are assigned to yourself and anyone you are buying for.

If the person you're buying for has a Fan Verification profile, great! Use that email address to assign the ticket to them. PRO TIP: double check that the email address you’re entering is correct. If they have a profile, then they’ll be able log into their Fan Ver Hub in the late afternoon on Sun, June 11 to accept the tickets.

If the person you are buying for doesn't have a Fan Verification profile, no worries! Assign the ticket to their email address and they can create a Fan Verification profile on the afternoon of June 12. PRO TIP: to make things easier, make sure your friend Fan Verifies with the email you used to assign them a ticket.

Managing Tickets

After you purchase your tickets during the onsale, you can manage your NYCC tickets directly in your Fan Verification hub! Here you’ll find the NYCC tickets you've purchased or have been assigned. Make sure to accept the transfer of any tickets assigned to you so you can link your ticket to your profile. You will be able to log into your Fan Ver Hub in the late afternoon on Sun, June 11.

Having issues accepting tickets in your Fan Ver hub?

First, make sure you’re not trying to accept a ticket for a day of NYCC that’s already been assigned to you. For example, if you already have a Saturday ticket assigned to you—either because you bought the ticket yourself or because you accepted a Saturday ticket someone assigned to you—you'll get an error message if you try to accept another Saturday ticket or a 4-Day ticket (since a 4-Day ticket is valid for Saturday). If this happens, you'll want to decline the transfer as you're unable to have more than one NYCC ticket per day assigned to your name.

Did you transfer the NYCC tickets to the wrong email?

In your Fan Verification hub, you'll see a section called My Transfers. This is where you'll find transfers you've accepted (meaning someone assigned you to a ticket and you accepted it) or transfers you've sent to your friends (you've assigned someone to a ticket and they've accepted or declined it).

You can click EDIT or VIEW to see the details for each transfer. The transfer history will appear, and you'll be able to resend a transfer to remind a friend to accept it or cancel a transfer if you sent it to the wrong friend.

Need to transfer a ticket?

When you click TRANSFER ITEMS, you'll be brought to a page where you can add your friend's email address. You'll only do this if a friend you bought the ticket for didn't accept your transfer because they can no longer attend, and you want to give the ticket to another friend.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you transfer/assign a friend to a ticket and they accept the transfer, they are now the owner of that ticket. This means that you, as the original owner, no longer have the ability to transfer that ticket to anyone else. The new owner would have to make a new transfer if it's needed. Please note: the physical ticket will still ship to your mailing address.

How do I know if my transfer went through?

When a transfer is pending, was declined, was canceled, or was accepted and successful, you'll get an email from ShowClix.

Pro-Tip: Make sure to assemble your avengers and stay on top of any transfers so that your friends are accepting or declining them as necessary.

Accepting Tickets

If a friend was able to buy tickets for you and assign them to your email during the presale or onsale, this is for you!

If you have a Fan Verification profile, you’ll receive an email telling you that someone transferred tickets to you. Click the ‘View Transfer’ link in your email to login to your Fan Ver hub and accept the ticket(s).

If you don’t have a profile with us, you’ll need to create one first before accepting the ticket(s). You'll receive an email, you’ll receive an email telling you that someone transferred tickets to you. Starting Monday, June 12, you can click the ‘View Transfer’ link in your email and it will prompt you to create a Fan Ver profile. Fill out the application, and login to your profile in the Fan Ver Hub to accept your tickets. If you don't create a profile and accept the tickets assigned to you, your ticket will just sit in limbo, and you won’t have access to the NYCC 2024 Fan Ver Ticket Presale or any of the extra cool stuff we got goin’ on at NYCC.
